Today was a fun day. I took Gwyn to school this morning and dropped her off to find out that one of our friends needed some help today. She asked me if I could pick her daughter up from preschool with Gwyn because she had lost one of her caps on her tooth. I said, "Of course." I got home and got Cole ready for his first "field trip" in preschool!!! His teacher had a cook come and teach the kids in his class about cooking. It was so much fun to spend the day with him and watch him interact at school!!! The cook had little aprons and chef hats for the kids...so cute!!! They made fruit pizzas with cream cheese and fruit cocktail. They were all so excited to learn and all so very well behaved too!!! Then it was time for me to leave and get Gwyn and Gabriella from school. We ate lunch and the kids laid on the couch and watched All Dogs Go To Heaven. It was so nice and peaceful!! Gabriella's mom came and got her and the kids went outside for a little while to play.
It was around 2pm and Gwyn wanted me to read her a book. Her favorite books right now are the Bernstien Bear books....she asks if I could read The Bernstien Bears Go Out For Dinner. After I read it to her she left and went to play with her brother and sister. A few hours later she comes in, while I am making dinner, and says, "I love you Mama. You sure do work the hardest in our family. You have to take care of me, Cole,Olivia, Daddy, Grandma, and Grandpa. Plus you have to clean the house do the dishes and the laundry. !!! That makes you most hardest worker of all of us!!! Mama who takes care of you?" I looked at her with a smile the size of Texas I am sure, and said, "Well we all take care of each other." She looked confused...I tried to explain it to her but then I stopped and thought "Maybe this was a good thing to let her think I work the hardest...:)" So I stopped. I have to admit it did my heart good to hear someone even if it was my oldest daughter tell me she thought I worked hard.:0)
As the day went on the kids played together like they do everyday. Then it happened again...I hear Gwyn talking to Cole outside and say, "Cole you are the best little brother! Did you know that? I love you Cole!" Again music to my ears....where is she getting this stuff? Why is she so nice to everyone today? Not that I am complaining but really she is being REALLY nice today!!! Well I have no idea where it is coming from but I LOVE IT!!! I hope she remembers everything she said today tomorrow!!! I love my kids and the fun times we get to have together!!! My days would be so boring without them in my life....til tomorrow!
